We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Welder/Fabricator Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn the skills required to become a skilled welder and fabricator while working on exciting and diverse projects. You will be trained in welding, metalwork fabrication, and the use of modern machinery to create bespoke architectural features.

What You Will Learn

• The principles of welding and fabrication, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.

• How to interpret and work from technical drawings to produce precise components.

• Safe and efficient use of machinery and tools such as grinders, plasma cutters, and guillotines.

• Techniques for working with various metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Qualifications and Experience

• No prior experience required, but a keen interest in welding and metal fabrication is essential.

• Basic understanding of mechanical principles or experience in a workshop setting is a bonus.

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, or Engineering are advantageous.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Estimator Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you will gain practical experience and knowledge of estimating and costing processes within the metalwork and construction industry. You will learn how to provide accurate and competitive quotes for our bespoke projects, working closely with our experienced Estimators and Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and organising tenders, to be distributed amongst the estimating team.

• Confirming all information is present and correct, to provide an accurate quotation.

• Liaising with customers regarding any missing or conflicting information.

• Quotes prepared accurately against architect's drawings and client specifications.

• Quotes issued with covering letter, specifications and qualifications.

• Reviewing orders received, to ensure they agree to the quotes.

• Quotes revised when requested by clients.

• Approval drawings produced and issued to clients or architects, as required.

• Ensuring all products meet client needs, while also complying with current building regulations.

• Liaising with installation managers and fitting teams on site.

• Communicating with clients and site managers regarding ongoing projects.

• Dealing with technical queries from customers.
