Sir Robert McAlpine appointed D Wilson to design this mild steel 'bolt-on' balcony solution for this project at the former football ground.
This 'bolt-on' feature steelwork structure with walk-out balconies enhanced the aesthetics of the development and was easily erected on site without the need for major building alterations.
Construction
The mild steel structure comprising full length supports including feature metalwork was designed, manufactured and installed by the team at D Wilson. Early engagement with the contractor enabled the design of an easy to install series of structural glass balconies and division screens.
Finish
Mild steel division screens separate the walkout balconies while the balustrade consists of structural glazing with a stainless steel capping trim. All mild steel is coated in-house before delivery to site to minimise disruption. All glass and stainless aspects are polished by our in-house team.
