Glass Balustrade and Bridges

Fabricated helical rolled box section stringer. Curved toughened & laminated glass balustrade side fixed with bosses to sides of stringers. Toughened & laminated glass treads supported on brackets. Helical rolled stainless steel handrails on brackets. Circular hollow section central support column.

D Wilson designed manufactured and installed the structural glass balustrade to the atrium and walkways of the Metquarter shopping mall in Liverpool.

Construction

Fabricated helical rolled box section stringer. Curved toughened & laminated glass balustrade side fixed with bosses to sides. Fixing via a floor fixed fabricated channel. All walkway bridge areas glazing is mechanically fixed using stainless steel bosses.

Top fitted elliptical timber handrails and side mounted rolled stainless steel handrails. Mechanical polished stainless steel fixings to toughened glass balustrade over the walkways.
