This project for Sheffield University involved the design, manufacture and installation of a feature spiral staircase in the main atrium servicing several floors.
Curved mild steel balustrades with openings for light fixtures were all design and fabricated in-house.
Construction
Mild Steel sections delivered and assembled on site, supported by a circular hollow section central structural spine. Folded plate treads and rolled helical steel plate balustrades with helical stainless steel handrails. Formed steel plate soffits.
Finish
All mild steel surfaces primed and wet paint coated to achieve the best possible finish. All work carried out by our in-house finishing team. Satin finish to stainless handrails.
